[System Architecture Flowchart Topology Diagram]

Project Dossier

Retained as Software Architect and Systems Technical Partner to oversee, optimize, and maintain the digital publishing infrastructure for Ajel.sa, a major news agency in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The engineering mandate required managing a multi-server Drupal enterprise environment hosted on Acquia Cloud, tuned to achieve low-latency edge rendering and maintain performance during high-concurrency regional breaking news traffic spikes.

//Core Architecture & System Engineering

  • ->Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure Management: Managed application deployment states and custom hooks within the Acquia Cloud ecosystem, leveraging platform tools for continuous integration and high-availability configuration.
  • ->Asynchronous Data Syndication Engine: Maintained background data consumption pipelines, executing API text transformations to ingest multi-party external news wires (including global providers) directly into the Drupal core entity architecture.
  • ->Edge Caching & Core Customization: Architected caching layers—integrating Varnish reverse-proxy variables and Drupal block-level caching rules—to reduce database lookups, lowering Time-to-First-Byte (TTFB) and ensuring stability at high concurrency.
  • ->Discovery Optimization Pipelines: Configured metadata layouts, Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) pipelines, and Google News syndication protocols to support visibility across indexing nodes.

//Engineering Notes / Edge Cases

Maintained operational custody and performance refactoring loops over a multi-year period. Addressed the overhead of monolithic CMS taxonomy tracking by tuning database queries and indexes, preventing relational search locks when users queried the media archives during active news cycles.
